Conway faced Jonesboro in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wampus Cats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hurricane. The Wampus Cats haven't had any issues with the Hurricane recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Conway never let Jonesboro on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-19.

Conway's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Jonesboro, they moved to 10-3-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
