Baseball Recap: Henry Ford Academy Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chandler Park Academy, Henry Ford Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the University Prep Panthers by a score of 12-7. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Navigators considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Evan Brown, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Henry Ford Academy: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-7-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Perez, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.

Henry Ford Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-9-1. As for University Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-2.

Coincidentally, Henry Ford Academy and University Prep will both be playing River Rouge the next time they take the field. The Navigators will host the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
