Capital Prep came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Bloomfield, but Kahil Bell wouldn't allow it. The Warhawks put the hurt on the Trailblazers with a sharp 70-49 victory on Saturday for which the team can thank Bell, who posted 19 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game.

When it comes to explaining why Capital Prep lost, don't look at Javaris Spencer. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 boards. Spencer is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 18 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalile Riddick, who had 11 points and eight boards.

The win got Bloomfield back to even at 5-5. As for Capital Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will venture away from home to take on New Britain at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Capital Prep, they will head out to square off against Bulkeley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
