Basketball Game Preview: Cameron Dragons vs. Lawson Cardinals

The Cameron Dragons and the Lawson Cardinals will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Cameron is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since February 13th on Friday. They fell just short of Maysville by a score of 49-47. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Wolverines are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, Lawson came up short against Pleasant Hill on Saturday and fell 59-50. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cameron's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lawson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Cameron beat Lawson 58-49 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cameron since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
