After both having extra time off, the Juab Wasps and the Millard Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Juab will be strutting in after a victory while Millard will be coming in after a loss.
Juab is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Delta: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Juab blew Delta out of the water with a 54-27 final score. The Wasps have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Hailee Hall was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Wright, who posted eight points and three steals.
Meanwhile, Millard was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of Juan Diego Catholic.
Juab will have to keep a close watch on Blakelie Davies and Eliza Larsen, a pair of players who had a big impact on Millard's prior game. Davies went 6 of 13 on her way to 19 points in addition to six boards and three steals, while Larsen dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Millard smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.
Juab's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Millard, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Juab has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Millard struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Juab against Millard when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 66-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Juab since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
