Baseball Recap: Pallotti Has No Trouble Against Chapelgate Christian Academy

Pallotti barely beat Chapelgate Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Pallotti was the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over Chapelgate Christian Academy on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Everson Vaughan and Ryan Cobb-Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Vaughan tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Cobb-Davis tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. Vaughan also tossed no walks, which is notable because Pallotti is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-5 otherwise. At the plate, Vaughan scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Cobb-Davis scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Pallotti let Kevin Wagner-Feick and Robert Gamble run wild. Wagner-Feick went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Gamble went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run. That triple was Wagner-Feick's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Armstrong, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Pallotti's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
