Softball Recap: Amelia County Comes Up Short

Amelia County managed to slip by Nottoway the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders lost 13-1 to the Cougars on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Amelia County now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Nottoway, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Amelia County is set to take on their familiar foe Buckingham at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Nottoway will square off against rival Prince Edward County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
