Baseball Recap: Whitney Takes a Loss

Whitney lost against Rocklin two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered against the Thunder since April 21, 2023.

Tyler Jordan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Mendoza, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Whitney's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Rocklin, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whitney is set to take on their familiar foe Jesuit at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rocklin will face off against rival Folsom at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
