            Volleyball Recap: Wachusett Regional Mountaineers vs. Algonquin Regional Titans        
        
		
        
        
            Wachusett Regional hadn't done well against Algonquin Regional recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Mountaineers blew past the Titans 3-0. The Mountaineers were shut out  3-0 the last time they took on the Titans, so the Mountaineers were just returning the favor.
 Wachusett Regional not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Algonquin Regional between 20 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21,  25-20.
Leading Wachusett Regional to victory were  Julia Vettese and  Ari Catalfamo.  Vettese  had ten  digs and nine  aces, while  Catalfamo  had 16  digs and four  assists. That's the most assists  Catalfamo has posted since back in October of 2024.
 They weren't the only good server: Wachusett Regional  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 17  aces. They  served five more  aces than Algonquin Regional's also-impressive total of 12.

 Looking ahead, Wachusett Regional will square off against Millbury at 5:15  p.m.  on Monday. As for Algonquin Regional, they have already played their next match,  a  3-0  loss against Shrewsbury on the 18th.
