Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colton). They were the clear victors by a 23-1 margin over the Pomeroy Pirates on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won nine in a row.

Clair Moehrle made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Moehrle was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Moehrle is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Kiya Soza was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with six RBI, three runs, and three doubles. Holly Heitstuman also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Colton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Pomeroy, their defeat was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
