Softball Recap: Othello Comes Up Short

Othello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ephrata Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 on Tuesday.

Othello's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Ephrata, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Othello will welcome Selah at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 14.6 runs per game this season. As for Ephrata, they will take on Quincy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Jackrabbits at the right time seeing as the Jackrabbits are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
