Baseball Recap: Holly Hill Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After flying high against Andrew Jackson Academy last Friday, Holly Hill Academy came back down to earth. The Holly Hill Academy Raiders fell 7-2 to the Orangeburg Prep Indians on Wednesday. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.

Holly Hill Academy moved to 1-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.2 runs. As for Orangeburg Prep, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Holly Hill Academy will square off against Colleton Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orangeburg Prep, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Heathwood Hall Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. Orangeburg Prep's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Heathwood Hall Episcopal's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
