Joey Laker put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in April of 2024 on Monday. As a matter of fact, she turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

Laker's strong effort led Pana over Vandalia and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
