Soccer Game Preview: Hilldale vs. Stilwell

Hilldale is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will host the Stilwell Indians at 7:30 p.m. Hilldale will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

If Hilldale beats Stilwell with three goals on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Hornets walked away with a 3-1 win over Varsity Opponent on Friday. That's two games straight that Hilldale have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Stilwell kept a clean sheet against Miami on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Wardogs by a score of 2-0.

Hilldale's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. As for Stilwell, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Hilldale took their win against Stilwell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1 score. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
