Baseball Game Preview: Wayne County Yellow Jackets vs. Perry Panthers

The Wayne County Yellow Jackets will square off against the Perry Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Wayne County will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wayne County and Perry meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. Wayne County walked away with a 6-2 win over Perry.

Perry's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Wayne County, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
