Homestead won the last time they faced Fort Wayne South Side and Katie Kitch did her part to make sure it happened again. The Spartans blew past the Archers 3-0 on Monday with plenty of help from Kitch, who had 13 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Homestead took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-11, 25-13.

Homestead has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Fort Wayne South Side, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

The future could be bright for both Homestead and Fort Wayne South Side: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Spartans will try to hand Fort Wayne Northrop their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fort Wayne South Side will look to extend Marion's 17-game losing streak when they meet at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
