Softball Recap: Bishop O'dowd Has No Trouble Against Galena

Bishop O'Dowd had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Galena on Friday. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Grizzlies. Considering the Dragons have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Frankie Aquino was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Amaya Heard was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Bishop O'Dowd was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Galena only posted a batting average of .235.

Bishop O'Dowd's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Galena, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-1 record this season.

Bishop O'Dowd has already played their next game, a 9-4 victory against Encinal on the 25th. As for Galena, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-1 loss against San Clemente on the 22nd.
