Softball Game Preview: Whitewater Whippets vs. East Troy Trojans

For the second straight game, Whitewater will face off against East Troy. The Whippets will square off against the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Whitewater took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on East Troy with a sharp 13-3 victory. The Whippets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

Whitewater let Sydney Schilt and Falyn Krahn run wild. Schilt went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Krahn went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave Krahn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marianna Kubicz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Whitewater always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Whitewater's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for East Troy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
