If Provo was riding high fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Mountain View last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 5-4 on Friday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

David Fernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-1. Davis Maughan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Provo's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-6. As for Mountain View, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Provo is set to take on their familiar foe Timpanogos at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mountain View will square off against rival Uintah at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
