Softball Recap: Clear Lake Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Clear Lake barely beat Webster City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions blew past the Lynx 15-7 on Wednesday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by eight runs or more this season.

Clear Lake's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Webster City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Clear Lake didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-11 win against Humboldt on the 6th. As for Webster City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-1 loss against St. Edmond on the 6th.
