Basketball Recap: Cj Dolan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead John Glenn over Tri-Valley

After flying high against Morgan last Friday, John Glenn came back down to earth. The John Glenn Little Muskies received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 71-53 to the Tri-Valley Scotties. The matchup marked the Little Muskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Little Muskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cj Dolan, who went 8 for 15 en route to 24 points. Those 24 points gave Dolan a new career-high. Stehl Bates was another key player, putting up 15 points and five steals.

John Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Tri-Valley, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

John Glenn and Tri-Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. John Glenn will square off against Sheridan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 303 places (45 vs. 348). John Glenn is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 73.5 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Tri-Valley (ranked 84th) will meet Philo (ranked 501st) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
