Basketball Game Preview: Riverton Silverwolves vs. Westlake Thunder

The Riverton Silverwolves will venture away from home to take on the Westlake Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Riverton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 62-58 to Mountain Ridge. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Silverwolves still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Westlake didn't have too much trouble with Copper Hills on Friday as they won 77-63. The victory continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won three in a row.

Riverton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Westlake, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.

Riverton ended up a good deal behind Westlake in their previous matchup on January 6th, losing 70-51. Can the Silverwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
