Recap: St. Regis Falls Saints vs. Tupper Lake Lumberjacks
This season hasn't been kind to the St. Regis Falls Saints, who are still winless after their fourth game. They had to suffer through a rough 80-35 loss at the hands of Tupper Lake. St. Regis Falls has not had much luck with Tupper Lake recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Leading Tupper Lake to victory were Michael Corneau and Thomas Peterson. Corneau went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 1 assists, while Peterson dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten assists. The matchup was Corneau's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Garrett Pelkey was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
St. Regis Falls' defeat was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Tupper Lake, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Regis Falls will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Lawrence Central at 7:15 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Tupper Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Chateaugay at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
