Volleyball Recap: Munster Comes Up Short

Munster had lost seven straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 4-23-1 to make it eight. They came up short against the Andrean Fighting 59ers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting 59ers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on September 2nd.

As for Andrean, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win they have posted against Munster since September 6, 2022.

Andrean got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emmy Ramirez out in front who had seven digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Ramirez a new career-high. Paige Podkul was another key player, getting 16 digs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Munster will challenge Illiana Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Andrean, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
