Volleyball Recap: Munster Takes a Loss

Munster had lost seven straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 4-23-1 to make it eight. They came up short against the Andrean Fighting 59ers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered against the Fighting 59ers since September 6, 2022.

Rachel Keefner paced Munster's offense, picking up nine kills. Keefner got some help from Jasmina Hamilton and her 14 assists. Taylor Pumphrey controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Andrean, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win they have posted against Munster since September 6, 2022.

Andrean got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emmy Ramirez out in front who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most digs Ramirez has posted since September 2nd. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Podkul, who had 16 digs.

Munster has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Illiana Christian on the 2nd. As for Andrean, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Lowell on the 2nd.
