Basketball Recap: East Sac County Comes Up Short

East Sac County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newell-Fonda Mustangs. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

East Sac County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Newell-Fonda, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Sac County will head out to challenge Pocahontas at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Newell-Fonda will take on Estherville Lincoln Central in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
