Baseball Recap: Columbian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Columbian can now relate to. They fell 3-0 to the Wapakoneta Redskins on Saturday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tornadoes haven't been shut out since back in April.

Columbian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Egbert, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Columbian's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Wapakoneta, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Columbian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wapakoneta, they will challenge St. Vincent-St. Mary at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Fighting Irish will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Redskins surely won't give up without a fight.
