Baseball Game Preview: Prestonwood Christian Lions vs. Brock Eagles

The Prestonwood Christian Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Brock Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a 11-game winning streak alive.

While Prestonwood Christian's victory against John Paul II wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions skirted past the Cardinals 8-7. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by just one run.

Stephenville typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Brock proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees 8-2. Considering the Eagles have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brock's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Prestonwood Christian, their win bumped their record up to 24-5.
