Basketball Recap: Bucksport Takes a Loss

Bucksport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 51-44 to the Presque Isle Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Wildcats are ranked 27th).

Bucksport's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Presque Isle, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Bucksport has already played their next game (against Ellsworth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Presque Isle will head out on the road to square off against Foxcroft Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
