Baseball Recap: Dalton Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Dalton never let Trinity get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 14-4 victory last Monday.

The team relied heavily on Miles Gumbs, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Dalton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Max Silvers also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Dalton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Trinity, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
