Baseball Game Preview: Stayton Eagles vs. St. Helens Lions

The Stayton Eagles will face off against the St. Helens Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Stayton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Estacada by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, St. Helens lost 8-2 to Colorado Academy on Wednesday. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Helens' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Stayton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Stayton's way against St. Helens in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as Stayton made off with a 13-0 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
