Basketball Recap: Joann Barlow Key Part of a Team Effort in Wildcats Win

There's no place like home for Water Canyon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Parowan Rams with a sharp 66-45 victory on Tuesday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Wildcats just coasted through the last quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Water Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joann Barlow, who went 10 for 17 on her way to 25 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Barlow a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Alysha Cooke, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

With the win, Water Canyon broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10. As for Parowan, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-20.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Water Canyon will square off against Millard at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parowan, they will take on Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
