With a playoff win on the line, Elverado rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Crab Orchard Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Trojans back in March, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Not much got past Maggie Elson, who gave up just four hits to keep Crab Orchard off the board. Elson has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Elverado's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bridgett Elder, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Elverado and bumps their season record up to 15-11. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Crab Orchard, their loss ended a 12-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-6.

As of now, neither Elverado nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
