Baseball Game Preview: Keokuk Chiefs vs. Fairfield Trojans

Keokuk hasn't had much luck against Fairfield recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Chiefs are taking a road trip to challenge the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Keokuk has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Keokuk is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game on Thursday. They lost 14-4 to Mt. Pleasant. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Chiefs' highest-scoring match to date.

Meanwhile, Fairfield came up short against Denison-Schleswig on Friday and fell 10-6.

Keokuk's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Keokuk suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Fairfield in their previous matchup on June 12th. Can the Chiefs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
