After losing to Sequoyah the last time they met, Kansas decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Comets put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 12-6 victory on Monday. Considering the Comets have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Kansas and bumps their season record up to 16-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Sequoyah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kansas beat the Eagles by a score of 11-6 later that day.
