Soccer Recap: Mohave Find Success

Mohave hadn't done well against Flagstaff recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Mohave Thunderbirds beat the Flagstaff Eagles by a goal, winning 2-1. This was payback for the Thunderbirds, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Jasmine Furr and Kelly Osuna scored both of Mohave's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Mohave's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-6-2. As for Flagstaff, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-6-3.

Mohave will head out to challenge Lee Williams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mohave is facing Lee Williams at the right time seeing as Lee Williams is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Flagstaff, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prescott at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prescott's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Flagstaff's offense will have their work cut out for them.
