Football Game Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. Turlock Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Lincoln Trojans will challenge the Turlock Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

On Friday, Lincoln came up short against St. Mary's and fell 54-41. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (38), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Despite the defeat, Lincoln got top-tier performance from Julian Perez, who threw for 396 yards and four TDs. The Trojans are 4-2 when Perez posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise. 84 of Perez's passing yards were hauled in by David Gray.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Turlock, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Modesto, posting a 41-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Panthers are ranked 750th).

The win got Turlock back to even at 5-5. As for Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Lincoln took a serious blow against Turlock in their previous matchup back in November of 2016, falling 42-7. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Trojans were down 28-7.
