Football Recap: Lansing Comes Up Short

Lansing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Edison Spartans and fell 50-7. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Spartans are ranked 11th).

Lansing's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Edison, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Lansing will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Moravia at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Edison, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 22-11 loss against Monroe on the 4th.
