Augusta waltzed into their matchup  on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by  a  14-4 margin over the Independence/Gilmanton Indees. With that  victory, the Beavers brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.
 Brooklyn Krueger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.
 At the plate, Augusta got a big performance out of  Stella Zank, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  Zank has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Rilee Bethke, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.
Augusta's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Independence/Gilmanton,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-9.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Augusta will venture away from home to  challenge Shell Lake  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Independence/Gilmanton, they will take on Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
