Basketball Game Preview: Miami-Yoder Buffaloes vs. Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Miami-Yoder Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Miami-Yoder has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

On Friday, Miami-Yoder was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-38 to Elbert.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-4, which was the final score in Liberty Tree Academy's tilt against Ellicott on Thursday. The contest marked the War Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Liberty Tree Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Miami-Yoder, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Miami-Yoder against Liberty Tree Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 35-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miami-Yoder since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
