Basketball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lumen Christi Catholic Titans. While losing is never fun, the Mounties can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Titans are ranked 27th).

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

Northwest will head out to challenge Western at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest is facing Western at the right time seeing as Western is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Lumen Christi Catholic has already played their next game (against Greenhills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
