Soccer Game Preview: Hendersonville vs. Station Camp

The Hendersonville Commandos will square off against the Station Camp Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hendersonville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Grissom, who was ranked 18th in their home state at the time (Hendersonville was ranked 23rd). The Commandos came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Hendersonville.

Meanwhile, Station Camp had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. Station Camp might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by three goals or more this season.

Hendersonville pushed their record up to 9-5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five games. As for Station Camp, their win bumped their record up to 10-2-2.
