It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Oswego East ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Plainfield North Tigers  10-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their one-run performance the  match before.
Oswego East got a great performance from  Addy Dunn as she  pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Danielle Stone, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. That  home run was  her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Katie Silva, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Oswego East  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in seven consecutive  games.
Oswego East's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 5-5. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Plainfield North,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-11.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oswego East will host Harvard  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Plainfield North, they will welcome Minooka  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
