With a playoff win on the line, Albany rose to the challenge on Saturday. They never let the Eldorado Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win was the third in a row for Albany, bringing their record up to 13-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Eldorado, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.

Albany will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
