Softball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Scottsboro's Ninth in Last 12 Outings

Scottsboro proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Elkmont Red Devils 4-3.

Scottsboro has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Elkmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Scottsboro wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-4 loss against Mount Juliet on the 5th. As for Elkmont, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-0 defeat against Madison Academy on the 8th.
