Soccer Game Preview: Splendora vs. West Fork

The Splendora Wildcats will face off against the West Fork Gators at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Splendora had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Crosby put an end to it on Wednesday. The Wildcats lost 8-0 to the Cougars. Splendora's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Fork). Their defense stepped up to hand Porter a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for West Fork considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

The victory made it two in a row for West Fork and bumps their season record up to 6-8. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Splendora, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-2.

Splendora couldn't quite get it done against West Fork in their previous meeting back in February of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
