Two dominant signal callers in Brent Rickert and Legend Bey are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Rockwall Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Forney Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, Rockwall was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-41 to Rockwall-Heath. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (39), the Yellowjackets still had to take the loss.

Despite their loss, Rockwall saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ryan Wiley, who picked up 77 receiving yards and a pair of scores, was perhaps the best of all. Wiley also hauled in two receiving touchdowns, which is notable because the Yellowjackets are 2-1 when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise. Another receiver making a difference was Jack Duckworth, who picked up 127 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Meanwhile, North Forney slipped by Longview 56-55 on Friday. Things were looking grim for the Falcons in the second quarter (they were down by 21) but they stormed back to get the matchup.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Bey and JOHNNY HAMILTON. Bey had a great game and rushed for 243 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per carry. Meanwhile, HAMILTON was balling out in the loss, throwing for 373 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Rockwall now has a losing record of 4-5. As for North Forney, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Rockwall has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 177.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like North Forney struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 397.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Rockwall couldn't quite get it done against North Forney in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 47-40. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bey, who rushed for 198 yards and three scores while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 185 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes. Now that the Yellowjackets know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
