Softball Recap: Beekmantown Eagles vs. Plattsburgh Hornets
Beekmantown had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Plattsburgh Hornets by a score of 16-14 on Thursday. The loss means Beekmantown is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
Anna Dutil made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Barnes, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Beekmantown will be playing in front of their home fans against Northeastern Clinton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plattsburgh will take on Moriah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
