Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Menlo-Atherton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Jefferson Grizzlies were beaten by the Menlo-Atherton Bears 73-46. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 541st, while the Bears are ranked 105th).

Jefferson has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Menlo-Atherton, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

Jefferson has already played their next game (against Burlingame), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Menlo-Atherton will challenge Hillsdale at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
