Eastern put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Cherry Hill East Cougars with a sharp 23-3 win. Considering the Vikings have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Eastern's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Cherry Hill East, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-2.

Looking ahead, Eastern will be playing at home against Paul VI at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Cherry Hill East, they will head out on the road to take on Cherokee at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chiefs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
